surviving in this stay home period
For those of us who have gotten
used to a hustle-bustle kind of day, this lockdown/stay home would appear as a
punishment to us, we hate to be idle or sit around these set of people become
restless from being in a place where nothing is happening.
In the short period since
embarking on the #stayhomestaysafe campaign some people have gotten so used to
the routine of wake up, eat, sleep, which equals a 24hours of being
unproductive.
Knowing that this stay home
period is essential for our safety health-wise, but it doesn’t mean our lives
have to be on hold, you might not be able to do the things you always do like
go to work, but look at the bigger picture this could be a chance to
do things
you have always been too busy to do.
Perhaps this happening would
teach us all that we do not need to leave our homes to have fun or work, this
supposed fun might not be our idea of fun but trust me when I say at least it’s
different from being completely unproductive.
Below are a bunch of suggestions
on keeping yourself occupied during this period:
Read a new book: There is so much
knowledge that we are yet to tap into maybe now is the time to start immersing that knowledge, choose this moment to broaden your knowledge the idea is to
gain something you didn’t know before every 24hours, read wide it could be
politics, mystery, adventures, novels and a bunch of other stuff.
Apply for an online course: You
can decide to use this time to apply for an online course in your preferred
field, take online cooking lessons, practice Diys etcetera the idea is to do
all of those kinds of stuff from the comfort of your home, so that when all of the crisis is over as bad as it was you would have come out with something for
yourself.
Express yourself: We all cannot
deny that these pandemic has affected us in one way or the other even if we
haven’t contacted it, it hurts when we read or watch the news and figures are used, itr hurts to know that those figures are in respect of lost lives, it doesn’t help that some people have seized this opportunity as an avenue to
communicate all sorts of wrong information that only succeed in planting fear
in the heart of people putting them on the edge, after all since the beginning
of this crisis, a bunch of us might have felt at least one symptom of this virus
which could even be a coincidence, keeping all of these feelings bottled up
would lead to depression so please talk to someone, air your opinions which is
why you have to make use of the social networks where there are various
platforms where these issues can be aired.
Eat right: As appealing as it is
to walk to the fridge or kitchen without conscience and disregard for the need
to watch calories, we have so much idle time and its normal to want to munch on
something every now and then although I would advise you keep that in check
because firstly the more you munch or eat the faster you run low on foodstuffs
secondly, your body is in a state of inactivity it stores up on all you eat and
then when all of this is over you show up looking like a potato couch lol.
Just eat right, eat in moderation.
Take care of yourself: One can’t
stress enough how important it is to take time for you which you can start by
giving your skin the care it deserves, this break is truly Not a nice vacation
but you could see this time as a moment to pamper yourself make something extra
come out of all of these for you, evaluate your skincare routine, your hair care
routine, home care routine and so on.
Exercise: Exercise is good, it
helps the body stay fit and functioning I speak for myself when I say this “all
these months my excuse for not embarking on exercise has been lack of time”
right now I plan to make things right, after all, I have a whole 24hours to
myself. By exercising regularly, you get to keep your organs functioning and
fit, you could set a goal for yourself probably work on getting toned Abs, or
getting defined hips and when this crisis is over you can look like you went on vacation lol.
Join our faiths: The worlds need
to turn to God in this trying time because only he can save us from this
pandemic 2chronicles 7:14, at the mention of the name of Jesus every knee must
bow even this deadly virus. Nations are suffering from this virus the young and
old die we should join our faiths together to cry to God to be our sanctuary at
this trying time, we should spend more time interceding on behalf of affected
souls while also praying for the salvation of lost souls to return to Christ.
Watch movies: I know you probably
already have a genre of movie you watch but in this season you need something

Start a side hustle: The economy
has become so beautiful lol such that one source of income is almost not enough
to survive on to talk less of making plans for a good future. Now is the time
don’t let lack of discipline stand between you and a chance to make extra
money.
Check on family and friends: The
need to make money and living has almost kept us away from families and
friends now is the time to send that text or make that call, keeping touch is
important the importance of family cannot be overemphasized.
Lastly but not the least adhere
to all precautions stay clean stay safe and stay home our hands can’t touch but
I hope you find this article useful.
Yours sweetly,
Lharmy.
